The Northiam Conservation Society Orchard and Jubilee Nuttery at St Francis Fields were officially opened on Sunday 5th June 2022. Entrance to the orchard is via the Orchard Gate (on Main Street, just down from the doctors’ surgery car park) and you are very welcome to visit at any time during daylight hours. Please feel free to use the picnic benches in the field too (no barbecues though, please).

There is an interesting information board beside the double wooden gates and on it is QR code that you can scan with your phone to find out more about the individual heritage and local trees we've planted.

We are very grateful indeed to the two generous Northiam residents who donated the money to pay for all the trees in the main orchard and also the lovely chestnut gates, and we are very happy to say that we have received much-needed grants from Sussex Lund and Rother District Council too.
